ELB Gains Increased Support From Germany
UPC’s European Liaison Bureau recently held its annual meeting in Bonn with the university’s rector, Dr. Ngoy, the medical school dean, Dr. Sam Mampunza, and several key government and academic supporters. These included the EED, Kerk in Actie and EMW. At this meeting it was announced that with the support of Dr. Barbara Drexler, Program Manager of the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and the German government, three UPC business students will visit Germany in 2008 to study microfinance. Additional academic microfinance resources may be provided to UPC’s Kinshasa campus in coming years. The university was selected from a field of 57 institutions.
