Specific Roles Need Skilled People - UPC is in need of talented Congolese to be trained as PR practicioners and fundraisers, in order to make UPC a more sustainable institution. Please contact the North American Liaison Bureau if you can assist by providing pro-bono PR and Development training.
Perhaps this is a perfit fit if are you a PR academic looking for an interesting sabbatical with plenty of scope for fascinating research? Or, a newly retired practicioner, who will enjoy helping introduce this profession to Congo?
We need salaries, and training for roles such as:
1. Media Relations - web administration, Intranet with other linked universities, and photography.
2. External Relations - managing relationships with Non Government Organizations (NGOs), local business community in Kinshasa, foreign embassies, and selling advertising in UPC publications such as the Jubilee Commemorative book.
3. Development - writing and managing grants/funding needs
4. PR Director - a supervisory role that includes liaising with all faculties, Comite de Gestion, Board of Trustees, and with the various boards such as the NALB, ELB, and Australia support office.
